Hier volgen de top 20 beste Grapes wijnen:

1.    97 DOMAINE DE CHEVALIER PESSAC-LÉOGNAN 2015 *
Suave, spicy oak and warm, stony aromas, making immediate interest and giving way to vivid and fresh dark cherries, blackberries and cassis. The palate adds graphite-like, savory cherry-stone flavors amid smooth, velvety tannins. Tangy blackberries through the finish. Impressive. Try from 2020.

2.   97 CHÂTEAU FIGEAC ST.-EMILION 2015 *
Fabulous aromas of blackberries, black licorice and lavender. Rose petals, too. Full-bodied, deep and powerful with a sexy tannin texture of plush velvet. Long and caressing. Muscular and poised. Needs until 2022 to come together but a
modern and focused Figeac.

3.   95 TALENTI BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO 2012
The plum-fruit character with salted almonds here is fascinating. Full body, and this really grows on the palate, showing a powerful depth of fruit and wonderful length. Drink in 2020.

4.   94 DOMAINE DE CHEVALIER PESSAC-LÉOGNAN 2014 *
Anyone who says that the 2014s aren’t elegant needs to taste this beautifully balanced wine. Ripe redcurrant and delicate herbal aromas with just a hint of spicy oak on the nose precede a fresh, medium-bodied palate with underplayed power
and a lot of subtle nuances on the long finish.

5.   94 HAMILTON RUSSELL CHARDONNAY HEMEL-EN-AARDE RIDGE 2017
A really stylish white with white stones, dried apricots, white blossoms, lemon curd, jasmine and caramelized citrus peel. Medium to full body, some really nice phenolic texture, very zesty acidity and an pinpoint finish. Drink now.

6.   93 BODEGAS CEPA 21 RIBERA DEL DUERO MALABRIGO 2014 *
Aromas of blueberries, dark plums and dark chocolate. Hints of violets too. Full body, round and compact tannins and a linear and vertical finish. Drink now or hold.

7.   93 HAMILTON RUSSELL PINOT NOIR HEMEL-EN-AARDE RIDGE 2017 *
Fresh red cherries, blueberries, rose petals, stems, nutmeg, licorice and spice box. Medium to full body, refined tannins, savory undertones and a caressing finish. Lovely tension to this. So refined and elegant. Drink now.

8.   92 AGRÍCOLA LA BASTIDA RIOJA TIERRA FIDEL 2014 *
This is impressive for the vintage with dark fruit and a hint of walnut. Medium-to full-bodied, dense and flavorful with a long, delicious finish. Drink now.

9.  92 CHÂTEAU DAUZAC MARGAUX 2014
Exotic and delicious with blackberry, blackcurrant and spice. Full body, super fine tannins and a balanced and beautiful wine. Can't wait to taste it in bottle.

10.   92 MARCHESI DI BAROLO BAROLO 2012 *
Aromatic Barolo with walnut, lemon rind and light plum character. Medium to full body, fine tannins and a tangy finish. Light dusty texture. Better in 2018 but delicious now.

11.   92 SANTA EMA PEUMO AMPLUS ONE 2016
A fruity and juicy wine with blackberry and hints of spice. Full and flavorful. A blend of carmenere, syrah and carignan. Better in 2019.

12.   92 SANTA EMA CHARDONNAY VALLE DE LEYDA AMPLUS 2017 *
This shows apple rind and pear, but there's also some real intensity behind the green fruit flavors with pastry and sourdough character that's all in balance. Medium-to-full body, so much tangy fruit and an oily, textured finish. Drink now.

13.   92 ROMAIN DUVERNAY VACQUEYRAS 2009
Arthy and funky on the nose. Opens up to fruit and flowers with some air. Roses on the palate; a little bit shy. Tight, with an irony character. A wine that challenges you to understand it. Sophisticated. Don't forget this Rhone region that
producers excellent values.

14.   91 CHÂTEAU DE ROCHEMORIN PESSAC-LEOGNAN 2016 *
Pretty density on offer here with currant, berry and cherry character. Medium body and a fresh finish. All together. Wait and see.

15.   91 SANTA EMA VALLE DE MAIPO CATALINA 2015 *
A serious red with blackcurrant and hot stone character. Full body, balanced and juicy with berry and chocolate flavors. Focused finish. A blend of cabernet sauvignon, carmenere and cabernet franc. Drink now.

16.   90 AGRÍCOLA LA BASTIDA RIOJA EL BELISARIO 2014 *
Tight and chewy with slightly dry tannins. A little lean, but there’s some good fruit for the vintage. Berry and ash flavors. Pure tempranillo.

17.   90 BEAUMONT CHENIN BLANC BOT RIVER HOPE MARGUERITE 2017 *
The dried fruits come through clearly with sliced pineapples and pears. Full-bodied, layered and flavorful. A delicious finish. Drink now.

18.   90 LABASTIDE DAUZAC MARGAUX 2016 *
A minerally and bright red with citrus and berry character. Medium-bodied, tight and juicy. Pretty length for the third wine of Dauzac.

19.   89 2015 DOMAINE DUBREUIL-FONTAINE POMMARD VILLAGES *

The 2015 Pommard Villages has bright red cherry and crushed strawberry bouquet: not complex yet it comes across as "playful". The palate is full of crunchy red fruit, plenty of black pepper here with a well-structured, quite tensile finish. I find more breeding here than the Aloxe-Corton Village at the moment.
